AP Study: Ivy Prep (iOS app)

1. Overview
AP Study: Ivy Prep ("the App") is an AP exam study app made by Ivy Tutoring, covering AP US History, Biology, Chemistry, Physics 1, Calculus AB, Statistics, Psychology, US Government, World History: Modern, Human Geography, and English Language. The App does not require account creation, sign-in, or any personal information to use — you can open it and start studying immediately. This policy explains the limited data the App does handle.
2. No Login, No Personal Information
The App has no login screen and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifier. We do not know who you are.
3. What Data the App Stores
On your device
The App saves your study progress locally on your device, including:
- XP, level, and daily streak
- Which flashcards you've marked as mastered
- Your best quiz scores per unit, per subject
Anonymous cloud sync
To back up your progress and let it carry over if you reinstall the App, we sync the same progress data (XP, streak, mastered cards, quiz scores) to our Firebase backend under a random, anonymous device identifier generated by Firebase Authentication's anonymous sign-in. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal information, and no login is ever shown to you. The App also periodically checks that backend for updated study questions and flashcards, so content can improve without requiring an App Store update.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following service to operate:
- Google Firebase: anonymous authentication and cloud storage (Firestore) for progress sync and study content, as described above.
We do not use advertising networks, do not sell data, and do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is designed for students studying for AP exams, including students under 13. Because the App collects no personal information and requires no account, it can be used by students of any age without providing identifying details.
6. Your Choices
Deleting the App from your device removes all locally stored progress. Because the App does not collect any information that identifies you, we have no way to locate or delete a specific device's synced progress on request; if you would like your anonymous synced data removed, contact us and we can assist based on the information you're able to provide.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
